Bunbury To Boost Its Event Lineup

Fans of action sports, food and wine and adventure will be catered to in a bigger way over the next 12 months.

Four new major events will be added to the schedule following an over $300,000 cash injection in the City of Bunbury's Grant Funding Program.

Added to the list will be a Bunbury Beer and Wine Festival, Action Sports Games, Bunbury Adventure Festival and the recently announced BMX Australia National Championships.

The Bunbury Fringe Festival is one event that has managed to score a $60,000 grant following its first run earlier in the year.

24 events will share in a pool of $310,000 to support organisations bring more people into Bunbury, including continuing events like Groovin' The Moo, South West Seniors Expo, CinefestOz and the Food Truck Fiesta.

“Events such as these provide social and economic benefits for the City and instil a great sense of pride in our community,” said Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan.

“The City of Bunbury is actively promoting Bunbury to event organisers as an events destination to add to the City’s dynamic and vibrant culture.”
