Busselton Aims To Curb Mosquito Numbers

As the warmer months arrive, the numbers of mosquitos are goign to increase dramatically.

The City of Busselton's Environmental Health Service will try to combat this over the coming months.

The first aerial helicopter treatment of the season was conducted earlier in the week.

The aim is to keep the mosquito population under control. To do so, the helicopter spreads larvicide into the water, containing a bacteria that targets mosquito larvae preventing them from emerging as flying adults.
