Former Busselton dancer Jessica Newell is returning to the Southwest this month to headline the Mayor's Annual Variety Performance.
Jessica has performed with international artists Timbaland, Kesha, Pitbull and Ne-yo, and worked on the movie Django Unchained with Quentin Tarantino.
She studied at Brent Street Studios in Sydney before signing with MSA Agency in Los Angeles at the age of 19.
Jessica has recently returned to Australia and is now teaching dancing in Perth. She also developed the Dancer's Dream Tour, where she takes performers to America to teach them about the dance industry.
"I was very lucky to be living the dream, dancing and performing alongside some of the world's most exciting artists, and now that I'm back in Perth, I want to inspire and challenge other home grown, talented dancers to chase their dreams," Jessica said.
"I am looking forward to being back in Bunbury, where it all began for me and perform at a show which showcases the amazing talent we have here in the South West."
The Mayor's Annual Variety Performance on July 20 will showcase many talented locals, including members of the South West Opera Company, The Philharmonic South West, the Studio of Classical and Contemporary Dance, The Bunbury City Band, Naked Villainy Theatre, Top Jazz Ballet and Koolangkas Kreate.
The concert is also a fundraiser, with Mayor Gary Brennan and his wife Robyn donating the evening's proceeds back to the performing artists and groups.
Tickets are on sale now from the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
