The McGowan Government has renounced plans to cut Community Resource Centre (CRC) funding by almost $13 million after significant public outcry.
Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan stated that after hearing regional community concerns about the future of CRCs, it was obvious that funding should continue.
This is great news for community resource centres who were set to be affected by the funding cuts.
MacTiernan also announced that the state’s reforms audits process will be getting stricter.
Congratulations to everyone who stood up for their CRC’s for helping the change to come about.
