It’s fair to say the Landscape and Open Space team at Bunbury City Council have been pretty busy over the past finical year.
They’ve been on a mission to make Bunbury look more beautiful by planting over 14,000 plants and 500 trees.
The trees planted include a number of varieties: Paperbarks, Marri, Red Flowering Gums, Peppermint Trees, and Ironbarks.
Not only do the trees make Bunbury look more beautiful, but they also provide cleaner air for the community.
According to the experts, in one year an acre of mature trees can provide enough oxygen for 18 people.
Which is why it's good news hundreds of trees have been planted right across the city of Bunbury.
You can keep an eye on the growth of these beauties at Hay Park, Koombana Drive, Austral Parade, Sundew Park and at the Symmons Street/Ocean Drive roundabout.
