Young South West artists are showcasing their work at the 2017 Iluka Visions exhibition, which opened at BRAG on the weekend.
Students from 16 high schools have contributed more than 100 pieces of art to the exhibition, including printmaking, ceramics, painting, photography, sculpture and drawing.
Prizes for the most outstanding artworks were presented to the students on opening night.
“Audiences love the Iluka Visions exhibition,” BRAG Education and Communications Officer Michele Grimston said.
“There is so much talent on display from these young artists, and people really respond to how honest and alive the artworks are.”
“The quality of the works shows just how important the arts are in our schools – these students are deeply engaged in their learning, and also using the arts to investigate themes and ideas that are important for a whole range of subject areas.”
There will also be a professional learning day for educators at BRAG on Friday 20 October.
The Art/Tech – The Place of Technology in the Classroom will feature art and technology experts.
Iluka Visions runs until November 19.
