Drivers still not getting the message.

Police are searching for those responsible for the growing number of thefts from cars around Mildura.

In just the past week, 9 cars in town have had items stolen from them including cash, credit cards, ID's, electronics and auto parts.

Local Police believe 4 of them were left unlocked with drivers not getting the message to ensure their vehicles are locked up.

The cars that were unlocked had a lot more stolen from them. One car had jewellery, cosmetics and electronics stolen worth an approximate value of $4,000.


An all-inclusive and welcoming Red Cliffs Men’s Shed is on the table with plans being fine-tuned before building goes ahead in the next few months.

The Men’s Shed will be coordinated by the Red Cliffs Community Resource Centre and built on land next door to the centre.

So far the project has received grants and donations from all over the community, most recently Lower Murray Water donated $1,000 toward the Men’s Shed.

The shed is set to provide a safe and welcoming place for men looking after their mental health and wellbeing while also just giving them a chance to be around others and contribute to the community.

RCCRC Coordinator, Joanne Farrell, says that the Men’s Shed will be open to men from all walks of life.


Recent rains and humidity are providing the perfect storm for a possible outbreak of Brown Rot in the Mallee.

The Weather Bureau have put out a warning to stone fruit growers in the Mallee advising them to be on the lookout for the disease.

Brown Rot can take over the whole fruit posing a serious threat during flowering and immediately post-harvest.

Farmers are being reminded to look out for insects damaging fruit.
