Legendary AFL coach Mick Malthouse will be in Mildura today, to give Presidents and Coaches of the Sunraysia Football Netball League the opportunity to engage in a question and answer session on his vast experience.

An evening session for the public will also take place, to focus on leadership and team building that can be taken into the modern day workplace.

Head of Sunitafe’s Mildura Campus, Dr Deb Neal, says that it's great to be able to invite someone of this calibre to Mildura and offer not one, but, two events to the community.

As a coach Malthouse won three premierships in 718 games in a career spanning 31 years.


Locals will now have the opportunity to comment on the Wimmera Mallee Water Resource Plan, with the draft being released for public feedback.

This program outlines the strategies the Victorian Government will meet in its obligations to sustainably use and manage water resources in the Wimmera-Mallee Region.

The scheme will focus on surface groundwater can be taken to be used throughout the Wimmera and Mallee.

With public feedback, a final copy of the Wimmera Mallee Water Resource Plan will be submitted to the Commonwealth Government by the end of 2017.


Sunraysia's citrus growing process has taken centre stage with China Central Television's Legend of Fruit series coming to the region.

The crew is here now, shooting a documentary that will focus on our Navel oranges, with the show's director, producer and two cameramen are being shown around the region with a translator.


Drone users in Sunraysia can now use an app to safely fly their drones thanks to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

The app clearly shows different areas of safety for drones, including clearly labelled "no fly" and "fly with caution" zones.

Areas that are considered "No Fly Zones" like airports are displayed in red, with "Fly with Caution" zones coming up in orange.

The CASA app has been developed as the first of its kind to ensure users don't break strict safety regulations.

The Winter A Grade competition of the Sunraysia Volleyball League will heat up for Round 7 tonight.

The Strikers are set to take on the Phantoms, the Sevens are up against the Redbacks, 100% Whale will play Morristown, and it's a fruit face-off with Coconut Pride and the Coconut Warriors in the final game.
