Sporting clubs throughout the Mildura Electorate have received support through the latest round of VicHealth Active Club Grants scheme.
The initiative works to deliver more opportunities for women and girls to get involved in sport, as well as providing more social, flexible and accessible sport programs.
Officials hope the funds will make a significant difference to local clubs; with Sunraysia Willowfest receiving $3000 to introduce a girls cricket academy.
Cardross Football Club have received $3000 under the scheme, to improve their facilities and attract more females to the game.
Member for Mildura Peter Crisp says they want to support locals to het active and embrace a healthy lifestyle, no matter what age, gender or ability.
