Mildura MP Peter Crisp is urging women across the region, between the ages of 50 and 74 years old to book a screening with BreastScreen Victoria.
The latest data reveals only 59% of eligible women across the Mildura Electorate took the time to get a mammogram between July 2014 and June 2016.
Mr Crisp says with our aging population, spreading the word about the importance of regular screening is a crucial element towards reducing breast cancer deaths across the community.
No doctor referrals are needed, with interpreter services and translated information available.
