Mildura Police Send Safety Message ahead of Holidays.

Investigations continue into thefts across the region, with Mildura Police urging locals to keep their property secure and their vehicles locked.


Thieves appear to be targeting unlocked vehicles in residential areas motels and caravan parks, with valuables taken from four unlocked cars over the weekend.


A Samsung mobile phone was taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a McKendrick Avenue address.


A wallet with credit cards and $40 was taken from a car at a Deakin Avenue premises; with another wallet and sunglasses taken from an unlocked vehicle in a separate instance.




Thieves broke into a residence on San Mateo Avenue, and it's believed the perpetrators found the keys to a 1999 Holden Commodore.


The car was stolen and involved in a hit and run with a parked vehicle.


The vehicle was later located on San Mateo Avenue.
