7 new Victoria Police officers will be joining the Mildura force in the coming months.
The State Government has announced an additional 825 officers will be rolled out to stations over the 12 months from May.
The new officers are part of the additional 2729 who were announced in December 2016 and are currently being trained in Melbourne.
The new officers which have been distributed by the staff allocation model to areas of need will be family violence specialists to allow current members to return to the streets.
Police Commissioner Graham Ashton says they've been able to bolster forces in areas which haven't received additional members in a long time.
