Irymple Football Netball Club will soon have two new courts to train and play on, the club announced as a recipient for the State Government’s Country Football Netball Scheme.
The $2.2 million dollar program upgrades ageing grounds and facilities for football and netball clubs, so they can meet growing demand and welcome more members.
$100,000 is set to be provided to Mildura Rural City Council, to construct two netball courts at Henshilwood Recreation Reserve.
The support is hoped to help the club accommodate their training and competition requirements across multiple teams and 150 netballers.
Northern Victoria MP Mark Gepp says this boost will go a long way to helping the Swallows cater for the growing number of people keen to get involved in grassroots sports, providing more opportunities for locals to get active and play the sport they love.
