September ushers in the start of Spring which generally is a time when birds like magpies get very territorial.
The Environment Land Water and Planning Department is calling on councils and locals alike to put up notices when a swooping magpie is in a public area.
Magpies attacks very rarely lead to injury, but, they can lead to damage when we're riding bikes or horses.
Environmental experts say that only a small percent of magpies actually swoop, with dogs and vehicles also often targeted.
