Mildura Rural City Council's proposed multi-purpose sporting precinct has seen support from officials from the reigning AFL premiers Richmond Tigers.
General manager Neil Balme has made the trip to the region to meet with councillors and discuss the 36.5 milllion dollar project.
There are talks to use the complex in Mildura South as a venue for preseason games and training camps, if construction goes ahead.
With the Richmond Tigers previously using Sunraysia as a recruiting ground, officials are confident the support will be the right fit for the club.
The precinct is one of four projects being proposed as a part of the Mildura Future Ready Scheme.
