Sydney commuters have faced yet another morning of drama after a train broke down at Mascot just before 8am today.

The delays caused by the stopped train - which Sydney Trains say required mechanical repairs - only added to delays already felt across the network due to "unexpected train crew changes" earlier in the morning.

A photo taken from inside Mascot station by a Triple M listener shows packed platforms, with many passengers forced to leave and order Ubers to get to work.

It's the second day of train woes in a row, with a building fire at Circular Quay on Tuesday morning causing train delays well into the evening.
