A Student Allegedly Live-Streamed Their HSC Exam On Facebook

There are reports that a HSC student is under investigation for allegedly live-streaming an exam on Facebook.

According to a report from the Sydney Morning Herald, the student is understood to attend a western Sydney private school, and allegedly filmed the Information Processes and Technology exam from within test conditions.

The exam was on last Tuesday, however a Facebook post on Thursday regarding an email from the NW Education Standards Authority (NESA) claimed that he was not contacted until more than a week after the alleged incident.

"NESA has received information that a student witnessed a live stream of you during the 2017 HSC Information Processes and Technology exam. We are currently investigating the matter and would like to offer you the opportunity to make a statement in regards to this matter. Should you wish to make a statement, please complete the attached form and email it back to me as soon as possible. Should you choose to not make a statement, the matter will proceed without it."

According to SMH, a teacher brought the livestream to the attention of NESA.

The live-stream has reportedly been deleted, and it does not appear as though students will be required to re-sit the exam.
