Merrylands RSL Club entered their male, female and disabled bathrooms and parents' room into Total Facilities annual competition but it was their ladies' loos that were eventually awarded best public bathroom in Australia.
And it's no surprise why; check out those metallic bronze tiles! The private basins and vanities! The shiny bronze taps!
According to Commercial Real Estate, each of the seven cubicles has energy and water-saving features built-in, including timed-flow taps.
Merrylands RSL Club facilities manager Steve Brady said that a competitive hospitality market had prompted them to upgrade their bathrooms.
"A lot of clubs in NSW don't pay a lot of attention to their bathrooms," he said. "We wanted a bathroom facility to be almost five-star, which is what we achieved.
"[But] you have to [upgrade facilities] because it's so competitive in NSW, the Club industry.
"Just like any business, you can't have bad or dated decor or the place looking tired otherwise people won't come to your venue."
