In breaking news, it appears that the train strike is set to go ahead.
Nine News reporter Chris O'Keefe has tweeted that only 5.93 per cent of the Rail Tram and Bus Union members voted yes to suspending the industrial action.
Over 6,101 texts were sent.
"The majority of you have voted to push ahead with the industrial action as planned and head back to the negotiating table in an attempt to secure a better deal," an email to union members said.
"This means that the overtime ban will continue as planned tomorrow (Thursday January 25) and the 24-hour stoppage will continue on Monday January 29."
