Dash cam footage taken late last week has once again highlighted how quickly disaster can strike on Sydney's roads.
The clip, which was posted to Dash Cam Owners Australia's Facebook page, caught the moment a cyclist was knocked clean from his bike in Darlinghurst last Thursday.
It appears that the cyclist is clipped by the red car after cutting across a pedestrian crossing on a red light, sending the rider sprawling on Oxford Street.
According to Dave, the bloke who sent the clip in, the cyclist wasn't even wearing a helmet when he took a tumble.
"Never thought I'd capture anything interesting on my dash cam," Dave wrote. "I am positive the cyclist was pretty injured as he smashed his head and leg on the road.
"Also a reminder to wear a helmet."
