Sydney, summer isn't done with us just yet.
On Saturday, it will be 31C in the city and 37C out west, with temperatures set to climb all the way up to 38C at coastal areas and 39C in Penrith on Sunday.
Yes, 39C on Sunday.
Things will cool down a bit on Monday, with it expected to be 29C in the city and 36C out west with some residual heat from the weekend.
The weekend heat will likely shatter last year's March temperatures, which saw 31.9C in the city and 33.7C the top reached in Penrith.
“It’ll be dependent on where you are obviously; it’ll be cooler over the ranges, but it is certainly looking like records may be broken in some areas,” a NSW Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson said, reports the Daily Telegraph.
“There’s about 10 or 15 locations where it is possible if the forecasts don’t change from what we have currently.”
