Reports have emerged regarding a home invasion in Belmore overnight, with four trick-or treaters tying up two teenage girls and their grandparents before ransacking the house.
According to NSW Police, the four masked men in costumes broke into the Oxford Street home just after 10pm last night.
One of the men is understood to have been armed with a firearm, while a second man had a metal pole.
Television cables were used to tie up the four family members, and according to the Daily Telegraph, it is believed that the attackers may have targeted the wrong house.
Property was stolen from the house, and fortunately once the home invaders left, the occupants were able to untie themselves and call for help.
The men were dressed in a variety of 'onesies' of giant cats, a skeleton and a woman in floral dress.
A crime scene has been established, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
