We all dream of winning millions, and turns out a stack of people made that a reality in 2017 here in New South Wales.

During the past 12 months, between 1 December 2016 and 30 November 2017, players in the state pocketed more than $257.8 million in division one prize money.

The latest Lotto hotspots have revealed the New South Wales postcodes that sold the most division one winning entries during the past 12 months were:


2166 for Cabramatta, which sold 4 division one winning entries totalling $18,666,666.67
2134 for Burwood, which sold 3 division one winning entries totalling $3,230,431.50
2170 for Liverpool / Mount Pritchard, which sold 3 division one winning entries totalling $3,369,750.10
2298 for Georgetown / Waratah, which sold 3 division one winning entries totalling $11,666,666.67

Southern Sydney enjoyed the most division one winning entries, with 24 totalling $35,385,572.63. While the Hunter & Central Coast region came in second place with 18 division one winning entries, it had a higher total division one windfall of $41,107,878.45.

A total of 77 millionaires were created across New South Wales during the 12 month period, that's the most of any Australian state and territory.
