Man Badly Burnt After House Fire In Sydney's West

A man has been badly burnt in an early morning house fire in Sydney's northwest.

Emergency services raced to the Seven Hills home on Blacktown Road about 6.30am on Wednesday to find the single-dwelling weatherboard home alight.

The man has been transported to Concord Hospital with significant burns, a NSW Ambulance spokesman told AAP.

Seven fire crews are on the scene, along with a fire chief, and have contained the blaze.

The cause of the blaze will be investigated by experts later on Wednesday, Fire & Rescue spokesman Norman Buckley told AAP.
