A man has allegedly taken to a poker machine with a meat cleaver and a hammer at a Western Sydney club over the weekend.
Police allege that the 60-year-old entered Dooley's Catholic Club on Church Street, Lidcombe at 9.30am on Sunday.
He is then believed to have damaged several poker machines with a hammer and meat cleaver.
Police were contacted, with the man arrested a short distance away.
No one was injured during the incident but extensive damage was caused to numerous poker machines.
The man has been charged with destroy or damage property; and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was given bail and will appear in the Burwood Local Court on Thursday January 18.
