Man Charged Over Alleged Wolli Creek Drink Spiking

Incident occurred in 2010

A man will front court next month after allegedly drink spiking and sexually assaulting a woman in Sydney’s south seven years ago.

Police allege the now 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman travelled from the Sydney CBD to a home in Wolli Creek in November 2010.

The man is accused of preparing a drink for the woman who remembers nothing further of the incident.

After the man later returned the semi-conscious woman to a Sussex Street address, her roommate took her to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were notified and commenced investigations however the man had left the country.

About 10pm yesterday, 2017 investigators arrested the man at Eastwood and conveyed him to Ryde Police Station.

The man was charged with sexual intercourse without consent and use intoxicating substance to commit serious indictable offence.

He was granted conditional bail to attend Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 December 2017.
