Pedestrian Critical After Getting Hit By A Car In Auburn

Any witnesses of a pedestrian getting hit by a car in Sydney's West is urged to come forward.

A 60-year-old man has been struck by a Toyota Corolla while walking along Rawson Street in Auburn, just after 10am on Monday. 

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the car, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

 

Motorists are urged to avoid the area as traffic delays are expected, with buses also being diverted.
