Sydney Beer Week is kicking off with an opening gala that will attract guests from not just Australia but around the world.
The event, which marks the start of the 10 day-long celebration, will serve up beers from Sydney and NSW's best breweries as well as some of the state's food trucks and live entertainment.
As an opening act, it's certainly setting up what promises to be Sydney's biggest celebration of beer; the following day sees lucky punters taken on a secret behind-the-scenes tour of James Squires, Malt Shovel Brewery, which usually shuts its doors to the public.
If that's not your scene, there's always yoga and bottomless beer brunch, a Bridge Road Brewers Sydney Harbour cycling cruise and - wait for it - the Beer Olympics.
The latter will see participants pitched against reps from some of NSW's favourite breweries (think Holgate, 2 Birds, Gage Roads and Little Alchemist) in six different events.
While these games won't be revealed until the day (Saturday October 27), the organisers have said to "imagine Mario Kart, Fooseball, Darts etc."
Each brewery taking part will also bring along an exclusive beer - either new, seasonal or limited release - plus there'll be plenty of spot prizes and merch up for grabs.
