A passenger travelling on a Sydney bus has released a video showing the moment a man was tasered by police after an alleged assault.

The clip, which was taken on the 377 service on Anzac Parade in Moore Park at about 2.30pm on Thursday, shows two police boarding the bus andĀ approaching the man, who was wearing an orange jacket.

One of the officers can be heard saying, "Get off the bus, you're under arrest for assault", at which point it seems the man reaches outĀ to hit the taser in his hand.

The man is then tasered before being pulled off the bus.
