Sydney Man Charged With Attacking Cars at North Ryde With Acid-Like Substance

A Sydney man has been charged with throwing an acid-like substance at cars at North Ryde.

The substance caused significant damage to cars parked at Macquarie University and the nearby Macquarie Shopping Centre.

More than a dozen cars, someone of them luxury vehicles have been attacked between February and June this year, stripping the paint off.

The bus driver from Ryde has been charged with 16 counts of malicious damage to property.

The 53 year old has been granted strict conditional bail to face Burwood Local Court on 21 August 2017.
