After some pathetic attempts at rain recently, mother nature is granting Sydney a proper soaking!
We're expecting heavy showers and storms on Friday, in what'll be the first decent downpour since early June.
Senior forecaster at Weatherzone Graeme Britton says it's thanks to a low pressure trough moving across the region.
"That's going to introduce rain across Sydney from early morning Friday", he said.
Weatherzone is predicting that New South Wales could get between 15 to 30mm of rain on Friday morning.
And the good news is, it won't even ruin your weekend plans.
"The main rain band will clear tomorrow afternoon, into showers for the rest of the day.. becoming dry in the early hours of Saturday," Meteorologist Graeme Briton said.
Sydney has experienced one of the driest Septembers on record.
