A teenage boy has been charged with stabbing a man outside a Domino's Pizza shop in Sydney's north.

The 17-year-old tried to get into the closed store in Mona Vale early on Saturday, which sparked an argument with a nearby group of men, police allege.

The teenager allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old twice, and was later arrested in the area and refused bail to appear in a children's court on Saturday.

He was charged with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, being armed with the intent to commit a serious indictable offence and an outstanding warrant.

The injured man has since left hospital.
