These Are The Sydney Train Stations Skipped Most Across The Network

New figures have shown that Sydney trains have missed scheduled stops on the rail network, with passengers left stranded.

The information, obtained under freedom of information laws, has shown that the Airport line has been the most affected, with stops such as Wolli Creek and both the Sydney domestic and international airports missed.

In the period from November and early February, 23 trains skipped Wolli Creek, while the domestic and international terminals, Mascot and Green Square each had 12 services skip them.

The North Shore line has also been affected, with Artarmon station missed on 11 occasions.

Waitara, Waverton and Wollstonecraft were also missed 10 times each, according to smh.com.au.

It appears from the data that the stoppages that the pattern of missing stations has increased dramatically since the timetable change implemented late last year.

Trains have missed an average of six stations a day during peak hour in the 10 weeks following the new timetable being introduced.

This contrasts with an average of two stations missed leading up to the changeover.
