Trains on the T2 line have experienced significant delays after a car plunged onto the tracks at Panania in Sydney's south-west.
According to Nine News, an elderly woman was rescued after crashing her car.
It's understood that the woman lost control of her car and ended up hurled 15 metres down an embankment and through a fence.
The vehicle also hit a large tree, which then fell onto the tracks.
The woman has since been taken to hospital and did not appear to have sustained any serious injuries.
The incident is believed to have happened after 3pm, with the T2 train line Twitter account tweeting that while trains had resumed services, some trains may be 10 minutes late.
