A bizarre kidnapping at Bondi Junction yesterday afternoon has wrapped up with one man to front court today on domestic violence charges.
It started when police were called to a shopping centre on Spring Street at about 3pm yesterday with witnesses telling officers of seeing a woman being assaulted by a man before being bundled into a van.
Some nine hours later, a patrol car then spotted the Toyota Hiace in Camperdown, before pulling it over in Glebe at about 12.30am today.
The driver, 42 year old man, his passenger a 28 year old man and a 35 year old woman, believed to the woman allegedly abducted were then taken to Newtown Police Station for questioning.
The older man has been charged with common assault (DV) and contravening an AVO (domestic).
The younger man has been released from custody without charge while the woman was arrested for breach of bail and released with a warning.
