A 28-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to stab a 13-year-old boy in Sydney's west.
Police were called to Centenary Road, South Wentworthville, just before 4.45pm on Wednesday.
The woman is accused of assaulting the boy, and threatening him with a knife.
7 News has obtained footage of the woman, where she can be heard screaming, "I'm an ice addict" before police make an arrest.
The boy was not physically injured during the incident.
She has been transferred to Westmead hospital for assessment, where she was released a short time later back into police custody.
She was charged with attempted murder, detain person for advantage and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
The woman, from South Wentworthville, was refused bail and is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
