In breaking news, the woman struck by a bus in Bankstown this morning has died.
The 81-year-old pedestrian was hit at a bus terminal at North Terrace.
Emergency services were called just after 10am, and officers from Bankstown and the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command also attended the scene.
The woman was treated by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where she died.
A crime scene has been established at the site of the incident.
The bus driver, a 64-year-old man, has been taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
