On Saturday 6 May 2017, Olive Street, Albury. A 17-year-old youth from East Albury was arrested for Attempted Robbery and other offences.

It’s alleged that at about 2 am on the 6th of May 2017 the youth was in Olive Street, Albury CBD, when he broke into three motor vehicles, stealing a variety of property.

Police allege the youth was also in possession of a replica style semi-automatic pistol, black in colour. As two people walked towards him on Olive Street, (32 old male and 23-year-old female) the youth produced the replica style semi-automatic pistol and attempted to rob both victims.

The victims moved away from the youth and called the police. The youth was arrested by Police in Bonegilla Street, Albury, a short time later.

The youth has been charged with Attempted Robbery with an Offensive Weapon, possessing an unauthorised firearm and Larceny x 3.

The youth has been bail refused to appear at the Albury Children's Court on 9th May 2017.
