Each and every year many people on The Border deck out their homes with lights to spread the Christmas Cheer.

If you've been wondering where to go then here's a couple of our favourites:

Chiltern Christmas Lights Display
1 Gordon Street, Chiltern
Former Light Up The Border winners Glenn and Andrea Excell put in a huge amount of effort every year crafting their 50 METRE long display!  Yep, you read that right - 50 metres!  In true Christmas-giving spirit they also double their display as a fundraiser for Albury Wodonga Animal Rescue, last year raising over $3000. Well worth the drive!

Lavington Rural Fire Brigade
629 Krautz Street, Lavington
The team of volunteer firefighters at Lavington Rural Fire Brigade do a bumper job putting up their annual display.  Not only does it look brilliant, but you can pick up some handy hints about fire season, or even find out about joining while you're there!  This isn't just a display you can also check out the fire trucks!  Be quick - it's on every night until Christmas Eve, 8pm-10:30pm.

Simpsons Theme, Marshall Street Wodonga
8 Marshall Street, Wodonga
A few years back our listeners voted Greg Gillam's efforts as the best display on The Border.  It's not hard to see why!  Each year a huge amount of effort goes into the light display which is fully synced to music, and includes all your favourite Simpsons characters.  Money raised from the display also goes toward the Albury Children's Ward.

Ringwood Crescent, West Albury
Creator Nik Millard has been busy installing over 3000 individually controllable LED lights, which are all sequenced to music and video.  You can jump out and take a look, or stay in the comfort of your car and listen via FM transmitter on 90.3FM. Of course, be sure to switch back to 105.7 afterwards!
