This Advice message is being issued for Mount Hotham.
- There is a going bushfire 7 KM south west of Mount Hotham Village
- The fire is 11 HA in size.
- The fire is burning in remote and steep terrain in the Alpine National Park.
- On ground firefighters are being supported by aircraft and machinery to build containment lines around the fire perimeter.
There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions
What you should do:
- If you are travelling in the area monitor weather conditions and warnings.
- Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
Impacts in your area:
- The Dargo High Plains Road remains seasonally closed.
- There is no public access along the Dargo High Plains Road from Dargo to the Great Alpine Road due to the seasonal closure .
- Check the VicRoads website (traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au/) for road closures.
