The 2018 NAB AFL Draft has come to an end, and the 2019 line up is looking strong for our Victorian teams!

And so, for the benefit of the hardcore fans who need to be kept up to date with all-things AFL (and for the ladies who are just looking for a date to the Brownlow Awards), we’ve compiled all the Victorian Draftees right here!

...

Carlton kicked off Round 1 of the 2018 Draft Pick by swooping up 18yo midfielder Sam Walsh (1) and 18yo midfielder Liam Stocker (19). The Blues also snagged Finbar O'Dwyer (66) in Round 4 and Ben Silvagni (70) in Round 5. The Club's Rookie Picks were Hugh Goodard (1) and Thomas Bugg (19).

It’s such a big honour, and I'm just super excited to be part of the Carlton Football Club, and looking forward to being part of the journey.

Moving on to Collingwood... The Magpies picked up 18yo Isaac Quaynor (13) in Round 1, as well as Will Kelly (29) in Round 2 and Atu Bosenavulagi (77) in Round 8. The Pies also Rookie Listed Timothy Broomhead (17) and Samuel Murray (33).

I’ve been barracking for [Collingwood] for a long time now and they’ve been a big part of the last couple of years, so I’m pretty passionate about it… It’s a big relief and a big dream come true for me.

- Isaac Quaynor to Collingwood Media

Essendon signed their first Draftee in Round 2 with 18yo Irving Mosquito (38), followed by Noah Gown (60) and Brayden Ham (72). The Bomber's Rookies included Tuth Jok Jok (8) and Matt Dea (25).

It’s a dream come true. I’m pretty happy, surprised and can’t wait to get to work.

The Geelong Cats had a massive draft season, signing 18yo Jordan Clark (15), as well as Ben Jarvis (48), Jacob Kennerley (50), Darcy Fort (65), Jake Tarca (68), and Oscar Brownless (74). The Club signed just one Rookie Draft; Tom Atkins (11).

I absolutely feel on top of the world. I’m so happy to be at Geelong and can’t wait to get started.

Hawthorn were late to the game, picking up their first Draftee in Round 3, Jacob Koschitzke (52), followed by Matthew Walker (63) in Round 4. The Hawkes also signed Rookies Damon Greaves (14), Will Golds (30), Timothy Mohr (43) and Will Langford (49).

Melbourne Football Club kicked off their Draft Picks with 18yo Tom Sparrow (27) and 17yo James Jordan (33) in Round 2. The Demons also snatched up Aaron Nietschke (53), Marty Hore (56), and Toby Bedford (75). Their Rookie list was short, with Kade Chandler (15) their only pick before passing in Round 2.

North Melbourne signed Tarryn Thomas (8) in Round 1. The Club missed Round 2 before snatching up Curtis Taylor (46) and Bailey Scott (49) in Round 3, and Joel Crocker (69) in Round 4. The Roos Rookie List now also includes Tom McKenzie (10), Kyron Hayden (27), and Tom Wilkinson (41).

I’m excited for next year, keen for pre-season… it hasn’t sunk in yet. Later on I reckon it will, but it’s unreal so far.

Richmond kicked off their Draft Pick with 18yo Riley Collier-Dawkins (20) in Round 1, followed by Jack Ross (43), Fraser Turner (58), and Luke English (62). Also wearing yellow & black on the Rookie List will be Jake Aarts (16), Jacob Townsend (32), and Mabior Chol (45).

The heart rate's a bit too high for my liking, but I’m just stoked to get into it.

Donning the red, white and black for St Kilda will be Max King (4), Jack Bytel (41), Matthew Parker (47), Nick Hind (54), and Robert Young (67). The Club signed just Callum Wilkie (3) to their Rookie List.
