Murray Regional Tourism calls for NSW cash

Calls for Destination New South Wales to commit to long term funding for Murray Regional Tourism.

The cross-Border agency set to lobby Tourism Minister Adam Marshall, after lengthy negotiations have not yet come to fruition.

MRT wants a cash injection as it says it's boosted visitors numbers from Albury to Mildura from 4.5 to 5.1 million people over the 5 years to 2016.

Local governments and sporting bodies also calling for a resolution, as 17% of the Murray's economy is tourism based.
