Workers north of the Border may see a half-day public holiday scrapped, pending the outcome of an online poll.
The future of the half-day public holiday for Albury’s Gold Cup may be up in the air as Albury City Council looks to “determine the level of support for the holiday.”
Albury City Council’s website states:
“Council specifically wants to better understand the impact of the holiday on business activity, employment, tourism and the local economy as well as the importance of the Gold Cup as a social and community event.”
So, if you want to see it stick around – best you have your say here.
