Border companies will be able to drum up some business this weekend, after the Henty 4WD and Outdoor Adventure Expo was cancelled.

A pop-up show's set to hit Wodonga Racecourse Saturday, with fees waived for exhibitors and free entry from 9:00am.

It follows a shock axing of the program at the Henty Machinery Field Days site, just days before gates were planned to open, as the company behind the expo's gone under liquidation.

Gervase Consulting’s going over Explore Australia Exhibitions' books, as it owes creditors almost $300,000.
