Sophie Mirabella’s husband donates $35k to Liberal Party

Malcolm Turnbull may be in the spotlight for his massive $1.75 million dollar donation to the Liberals today but gifts from the North East were also forwarded to the party over the last financial year.

Former Indi MP, Sophie Mirabella's husband, Greg Mirabella, handing over $35,000 to the party's Victorian branch, ahead of Mrs Mirabella's failed bid to reclaim the seat from Cathy McGowan.

The Australian Electoral Commission's annual financial disclosure returns revealed the sum yesterday.
