Police are urging Border North East residents to keep an eye out on Facebook and eBay for 25 collectors’ sets of Monopoly which were stolen from a Wodonga man's unit while he worked last week.

Ron Grubb was in Wangaratta when his Roadshow Drive home's door was jimmied open last Wednesday, the unknown thief taking $1,500 worth of brand new board games.

A laptop and alcohol were also stolen.

Mr Grubb says the games items were sentimental and he’s keen to get them back, the battler purchasing them as an investment over several years.
