60 Townsville Police Receive Medals For Service

This morning at the Townsville PCYC on Wellington Street dozens of police received medals.  

The Townsville Policing District Medal Presentation Ceremony saw a variety of medals handed out to the local service men and women.  

Approximately 60 Officers will received medals, including:

  • National Medal
  • National Medal Clasp 25 years and 35 years of Service
  • National Police Service Medal for 15 years’ ethical and diligent Service
  • Queensland Police Service Medals and Clasps were presented for recognition of diligent and ethical conduct for both sworn and unsworn members of the Queensland Police Service for 10, 15, 20 and 35 years of Service.
  • One (1) Officer was awarded a Meritorious Medal
  • 2016 Townsville District Education & Training Office and the 2015 Townsville V8 Unit received Awards for Excellent
  • Assistant Commissioner Certificates were also presented to 5 Officers for Exceeding Expectations in Execution of their Duty
