An 18-year-old UK bicycle enthusiast is attempting a world record, but hit a bump in the road on October 15.

Charlie Condell had been riding his bike for 102 days, in an attempt to be the youngest person to ride solo around THE WORLD!

Charlie's journey was put on pause though, after staying at a Townsville hostel resulted in his bike (Cervelo R5 Ultegra-black with green stripes) being stolen.

But now good news surrounds the biking enthusiast...

Round The World Charlie is back in the saddle, and has left Townsville in the wee hours of this morning, on his way to Bowen.

Charlie is now riding on a new bike, courtesy of Cervelo AUST and with the support of Townsville's own Cycle de Vie, and Rotary Club of Townsville Saints who were able to kit Charlie out with all the accessories needed to continue his worthwhile journey.

Charlie is not only trying to set a Guiness World Record with his round the world ride, he is raising funds along the way for MOBILE MIDWIVES (http://motherhealth.org/mobile-midwives/)
