Wild dogs are on the prowl again on Castle Hill, with concerns for pets in the area.

Council are warning people against walking dogs up popular walking tracks, and for those that live in the area to ensure fencing is secure.

It comes after feral dogs on the Townsville icon have been showing aggression particularly in the early mornings and evening.

Townsville City Council have set up traps to remove the animals, and have already caught two of the wild dogs.
