Radio King Pricey Awarded Medal Of The Order Of Australia

"I'm just a simple broadcaster"

Radio King Pricey Awarded Medal Of The Order Of Australia John Caligari, Pricey, Mayor Jenny Hill, and Wayne Preedy

He wakes you up every weekday morning, but Pricey is so much more than a voice in your car speakers.

Steve 'Pricey' Price can now say he has been awarded a Medal of The Order of Australia (OAM.

The Order of Australia has five levels: Knight/Dame of the Order (AK/AD) Companion of the Order (AC) Officer of the Order (AO) Member of the Order (AM), and Medal of the Order (OAM).

The Order of Australia is the pre-eminent way Australians recognise the achievements and service of their fellow citizens.

"This really has been the highlight of my life, but then again every day is," says Pricey.

Pricey has been nominated for the last couple of years, but 2018 will go down in history as the year it happened for our local icon.

Former senior officer of the Australian Army John Caligari, our Mayor Jenny Hill, and the man who started the nomination process Wayne Preedy joined Pricey in the studio today to congratulate him on the honourable achievement.
